I cook a delicious onion stew, without any chilli peppers.
V2 depreciation imminent!
As of now the next version of Tor will no longer have support for older V2 onions. There have been notices about this change in many places on the DN, that in the 4.6.x stable series V2 onion support will no longer exist. A release candidate has come out for the 0.4.6.x and is expected to be stable later this month. When that stable version is released V2 services are finished.
What is a V2 hidden service?
A V2 hidden service is one of the older 32 character base32 addresses, such as kaizushigdv5mrnz.onion or infantilefb6ovh4.onion.
My site hosted with KLOS is a V2, what do I do?
It is not too late, you can get new V3 onions added to your account for free. Your existing V2 service can be made to direct to your new V3 address for free. If you want a custom V3 you can have six letters for free, and 7 letters can be generated for $50.
I suggest you spread this news around so that people are aware of the looming deadline to move to V3 onions.
